Bluebird Scout Program of NCBS (ages 6-9).
Membership.
A Bluebird Scout, age 6-9, is in a special membership group of North Carolina Bluebird Society and receives complimentary membership.
Each Scout will work with a Scout Leader to learn:
How we can care for bluebirds
How bluebirds live as a family
How bluebirds care for the baby birds
How to write and draw in a nature journal
What bluebirds like to eat
How to watch for the first egg in the nestbox
How to check and record when eggs hatch
Bluebird scouts will report periodically to their leader interesting things they find or what their bluebird does; this can include pictures, drawings or stories.
Bluebird scouts will tell others about what they have learned and the fun they have caring for their special blue friends. They will ask others to join them as a Bluebird Scout.
The Promise.

This program helps young scouts explore, observe, and care for bluebirds in a fun and hands-on way!
